Interactive Flash Animation
As part of a head-to-head competition with another graphic designer, this interactive animation had to be completed in under 30 minutes from scratch. After being voted on by a panel of judges, this design helped win the match.
Interactive Flash Animation
Here is another interactive design from the same competition. The animation uses the same theme from the previous work as well as the opponent's return design to create a sort of cohesive narrative.
Flash Animation
This is an animation from a separate match. Using a different theme altogether, the design relies on sharp contrast between subject matter and texture. This animation was part of a series that ended up winning as well.
Flash Animation
Completed under the same tight deadline, the animation here continues the themes set in the original design while incorporating the opposing designer's works to clinch the victory.
Homebrew Label
I have a strong passion for the technical skill and creativity that goes into ale-smithing, so why not reflect that in the graphic design for the labels? Here is a label created for a tasty porter.
Homebrew Label
With some custom ligatures and modified béziers, this design playfully toys with typeface to create a unique impression.
Homebrew Label
Here is a design which relies more on negative space and a slightly irregular grid to create a little whimsy in an otherwise colorful, but simple composition.
Homebrew Label
Tight-but-not-touching kerning along with a high contrast motif play together in this label to reflect the experimental nature of the ale contained within the bottle.
Homebrew Label
As a kind of homage to the great Saul Bass, but with a bit of a modern flair in gradient meshes, this label attempts to echo the superb work of the famous artist.
Homebrew Label
Sometimes a little vignette and some solid photography are all that is needed to make a composition work. A little playful use of modified type and subtle opacity changes don't hurt either.
Homebrew Label
The original label that started it all. With a focus on presenting the most critical information quickly and intuitively to the viewer, the design relies on an almost chiaroscuro-like use of light and dark.
